Majority Religious Affiliation per Subdivision • The Indian Subcontinent has always been multi-cultural and diverse. It is the birthplace of the four great Indian Religions - Hinduism (๐), Jainism (ๅ), Buddhism (☸) and Sikhism (☬). • Religions like Zoroastrianism, Judaism (✡) and the Baha'i are also found here but in comparitively smaller numbers. • Islam (☪️) and Christianity (✝️) have been present in India and the subcontinent since they were found in West Asia. Today, Islam is the second largest religion of the region after Hinduism. • I have referred to census data and drawn the map accordingly. Some regions like Kerala, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam no more have a majority religion but they have a plurality. • Jainism, although found in huge numbers in India and Nepal, is not the majority religion in any state/province/territory. ๐บ๐๐ฝThank you๐๐ฝ๐บ
